Lon is the name for the combination of external and internal procedure. A solid nail like a trauma nail, stabilized the bone from the inside while the expanding function is carried out by an external fixator. At the end of the lengthening the lengthened distance is maintained by statistic blocking. After then external fixator is removed.
LATN procedure is almost similar to LON. It is also combination of external and internal procedure. In this procedure first surgery is done for osteotomy and external fixation.
